An underwater load rejection mechanism comprises a shell and a motor arranged on the inner side of the shell; a transmission shaft which is driven by the motor to rotate clockwise or anticlockwise; a rotating part, wherein the bottom of the rotating part is provided with a bottom groove and a bottom supporting surface, and the rotating part rotates along with the rotation of the transmission shaft; a limiting part intermediate shaft which is mounted on the shell, and a first groove and a second groove are oppositely formed in the circumferential wall surface of the limiting part intermediate shaft; a first turnover shaft and a second turnover shaft which are mounted in the first groove and the second groove respectively; a first heavy block limiting part, a second heavy block limiting part and a rest spring, wherein the shell, the limiting part middle shaft, the first heavy block limiting part, the second heavy block limiting part and the reset spring form a heavy block containing space, and the heavy block containing space is used for containing the heavy block in the loading or load rejection process of the heavy block. According to the embodiment of the invention, the underwater load rejection mechanism is suitable for small-sized autonomous underwater vehicles, and is simple in structure and low in cost.
