The invention relates to a bidirectional tire pressure monitoring system and a method thereof. The bidirectional tire pressure monitoring system comprises a first radio frequency detection module, a first signal processing module and a first digital wake-up processing module. The first radio frequency detection module is used for detecting a multi-band on-off keying signal sent by the on-off keying device. The first signal processing module is connected with the first radio frequency detection module and is used for amplifying and quantizing the on-off keying signal to form a first symbol sequence. The first digital wake-up processing module is connected with the first signal processing module and is used for matching the first symbol sequence with the first target symbol sequence. When the first symbol sequence is matched with the first target symbol sequence, waking up the tire sensor corresponding to the first target symbol sequence. According to the bidirectional tire pressure monitoring system, the on-off keying technology is adopted for awakening, multi-frequency-band awakening can be supported, and the low-frequency technology used by a traditional tire pressure monitoring system is avoided.
