The movable strut mounting method comprises the following steps that a guide frame is fixed to a transverse bulkhead, and the distance between the guide frame and the transverse bulkhead is made to be a preset value H; the top of the guide frame extends out of the top of the transverse bulkhead; the guide frame is spot-welded to the transverse bulkhead, and the guide frame is fully welded after the precision of the guide frame is checked to be qualified; a strut mounting area on the coating guide frame; a movable support of the movable strut is installed in the strut mounting area; the transverse bulkhead, the guide frame and the movable support are integrally coated; the transverse bulkhead is transported to a dock side section for hoisting and carrying; a shock absorber is installed on the movable support; and the thickness of an adjusting plate is determined according to the flatness of the shock absorber, and the adjusting plate is installed between the movable support and the shock absorber. The method can play a guiding role in the mounting process of the movable strut, the mounting efficiency of the movable strut is improved, and the in-dock box testing period is shortened.
