The invention discloses a ship water gauge measuring method, which is used for calculating ship six-surface water gauge readings by measuring ship near-shore side water gauge characteristic parameters and utilizing curve fitting and space coordinate transformation. The method comprises the steps of setting a global coordinate system to the ground, and measuring geometric characteristic parameters of head, middle and tail water gauge marking positions of the ship near-shore side; calculating a rolling angle, a pitching angle and a yaw angle of the ship in the current state; carrying out curve fitting on the head, middle and tail cross section shapes of the ship near-shore side, carrying out curve interpolation by utilizing the water surface height, and obtaining the water gauge readings of the ship near-shore side; setting a local coordinate system of the ship, and performing fitting and water gauge reading calculation on the section shape of the offshore side of the ship through space coordinate transformation according to the transverse geometric symmetry characteristic of the shape of the ship. According to the method, the six-surface water gauge readings of the ship can be given only by measuring the water gauge mark data of the ship near-shore side, so that the safety risk of obtaining the water gauge data of the ship on the offshore side is reduced, the operation time is shortened, and the working efficiency is improved.
