The invention relates to an inverter (1) for an air compression device (2) in a fuel cell system, comprising a housing (3) having an air-conducting flow channel (4) and at least one sensor (5, 6, 7) for measuring the temperature, pressure and/or mass flow in the flow channel (4), the sensor (5, 6, 7) is arranged on the flow channel (4) or at least in sections in the flow channel (4) such that the sensor is in contact with air present in the flow channel. The invention also relates to an air compression device (2) for a fuel cell system, comprising such an inverter (1).
