The invention discloses an intelligent escape elevator and a working method thereof. The intelligent escape elevator comprises a lifting device, an elevator car and a control device, wherein the control device comprises a safety circuit, a first controlled switch and a controller; the controller is connected with the safety circuit, the first controlled switch and the lifting device; the lifting device is used for driving the elevator car to rise and fall; a door closing button and a door opening button are arranged in the elevator car; the control device further comprises a human body sensing module, a voice playing device, a car door proximity switch, a first relay and N landing door proximity switches; the human body sensing module and the voice playing device are arranged in the elevator car as well as connected with the controller; the car door proximity switch is arranged at a car door; the N landing door proximity switches are correspondingly arranged at landing doors of all floors; and a third power supply end is connected with the reset input end of the controller through the door closing button and the door opening button which are connected in series. Consequently, the rescue operation can be automatically and manually initiated under the elevator failure condition, thereby effectively solving the timely rescue problem.
