The invention provides an auxiliary speed increasing device and a rail transportation system, and relates to the technical field of rail transportation systems. The auxiliary speed increasing device comprises auxiliary rails and a connecting structure, the connecting structure is used for being connected with rail advancing equipment, and the auxiliary rails are used for being installed on the two sides of a rail of the rail advancing equipment; and one of the auxiliary rails and the connecting structure is provided with a rolling assembly, the other one of the auxiliary rails and the connecting structure is provided with an abutting plane, the rolling assembly is provided with a rolling piece capable of rolling, the rolling piece abuts against the abutting plane, and the abutting plane is parallel to the advancing direction of the rail advancing equipment.
