For a given route between a starting point and a destination and for reaching the destination at a given desired time, the method comprises: a preliminary step of determining and recording a plurality of vehicle mission profiles; a step of determining, at at least a first time during the journey, an instantaneous position of the vehicle at the first time and a desired remaining time to reach the destination; a step of identifying, among the mission profiles, a mission profile having a curve closest to the desired remaining time at the instantaneous position of the vehicle; and a step of determining a new driving parameter to follow a new mission profile, the new mission profile being determined on the basis of the determined mission profile.
