Provided is a storage battery cooling system capable of rapidly cooling a storage battery while suppressing heating of the storage battery. The battery cooling system includes a cooling fan that sucks air in a vehicle interior into an intake passage and conveys the air to a battery; and a control unit that controls the cooling fan on the basis of the intake air temperature and the battery temperature detected by the intake air temperature sensor and the battery temperature sensor. The control unit performs a temperature inspection operation for stopping the cooling fan and calculating a difference value obtained by subtracting the battery temperature from the intake air temperature after the cooling fan is operated and the air is conveyed to the battery, and repeats the temperature inspection operation when the difference value is greater than zero, and the control unit performs the next temperature inspection operation in the second and subsequent temperature inspection operations, and under the conditions that the difference value is greater than zero, and the current difference value is smaller than the previous difference value.
