The invention discloses a climbing device for an aerial work platform. The climbing device comprises a main platform, a pedal, a ladder and a handrail. The main platform comprises a cubic frame defined by a plurality of transverse handrails, longitudinal handrails and vertical handrails, and the bottom end of the cubic frame is fixedly connected to a bottom plate. The pedal is detachably mounted in the cubic frame and located above the bottom plate. The ladder is connected to one end of the pedal and used for assisting an aerial work platform operator in climbing on the pedal. The handrail is connected to the end, away from the ladder, of the pedal and used for preventing the aerial work platform operator from falling down. The climbing device for the aerial work platform provided by an embodiment can work in complex working conditions such as the position above a ceiling of a suspended ceiling which is not beneficial to lifting of the work platform in place, and has the advantages of being easy to assemble, convenient to use and convenient to disassemble, store and place.
