The signal transmission method is applied to a vehicle-mounted Ethernet system and comprises the steps that a vehicle-mounted gateway sends a signal in a first digital coding format to a first connector, and the vehicle-mounted gateway and the first connector are connected through a digital interface; the first connector receives the signal in the first digital coding format, converts the signal in the first digital coding format into a signal in a pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) format, and sends the signal in the PAM format.
