The power generation device comprises installation platforms and a power generation device, the installation platforms are fixed to vehicle calipers, each installation platform is of a U-shaped structure and used for covering the upper portion of a brake disc, idler wheels are arranged below the installation platforms and rotationally connected between the installation platforms, connecting shafts are arranged at the two ends of each idler wheel, and the surfaces of the idler wheels make contact with the surfaces of the brake discs. The power generation device comprises a generator. The power generator is fixed above the mounting platform, a transmission structure is arranged on the outer side of the power generation device, a main shaft of the power generator is connected with the connecting shaft through the transmission structure, and the main shaft of the power generator is driven by the connecting shaft to rotate. The invention aims at solving the problem of recovering braking energy when the automobile moves at a low speed.
