The invention discloses an intersection data acquisition interval determination method and device based on traffic simulation. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring target intersection information and traffic flow data; calculating a minimum data acquisition interval and a maximum data acquisition interval according to the intersection channelization information and the traffic flow data; carrying out sumo simulation modeling on the intersection, and designing or restoring a signal timing design; determining a traffic flow data acquisition interval L; performing simulation experiment and data extraction on the intersection; calculating a comprehensive evaluation index P according to the simulation data; if the P is greater than 0, adding a data acquisition interval L=L+delta L, and repeating the steps; and if P is less than or equal to 0, outputting the optimal data acquisition interval L. According to the method provided by the invention, the benefit and the cost of the intersection signal control effect caused by data acquisition interval expansion are comprehensively balanced, a decision basis is provided for road traffic managers, and the service level and the efficiency of the road intersection are efficiently improved at low cost.
