The invention provides a refrigerant leakage early warning method for a railway vehicle air conditioning unit.Refrigerant leakage early warning in the train operation process can be achieved through a big data model, early warning can be reported at the initial stage of refrigerant leakage, and fault maintenance is changed into pre-diagnosis detection maintenance, so that the risk that other parts are damaged due to excessive refrigerant leakage of the air conditioning system can be reduced, the risk that passenger complaints are caused due to passenger room comfort reduction caused by insufficient air conditioning refrigerating capacity due to refrigerant leakage can be avoided, sufficient time can be reserved for train dispatching to arrange and maintain a train, and faults are prevented from being reported when the train runs on the main track. Therefore, the main track operation failure rate of the train is reduced, the on-line rate of the train is increased, the passenger satisfaction is improved, the operation efficiency is improved, and the labor cost and material cost of operation departments are saved.
