The invention relates to a method (100) for operating a powertrain of a vehicle. A first electric motor (16) can provide a first drive torque to an output (14), a second electric motor (26) can provide a second drive torque to the output, and an internal combustion engine (12) can provide a third drive torque to the output, and the internal combustion engine (12) and the first electric motor (16) can be connected to the output (14) via a separating clutch (20). In the event of a specific acceleration requirement, the separating clutch (20) is closed regardless of the state of the internal combustion engine (12), and the first electric motor (16) outputs the first drive torque and the second electric motor (26) outputs the second drive torque collectively to the output (14). The invention additionally relates to a hybrid module (10) in the powertrain of a vehicle with which such a method (100) is used, wherein the hybrid module has the first electric motor (16) and/or the second electric motor (26) and the separating clutch (20).
