Provided is a rotating electric machine temporarily fixing jig with which it is possible to significantly improve workability, and also provided is a rotating electric machine assembly method using the rotating electric machine temporarily fixing jig. The base end sides of a plurality of brackets 21 are attached to one end side of a frame 111 along the circumferential direction at equal intervals. The screwed positions of spacers 22 in which male screw portions 22d are screwed into female screw portions 21d on the top end sides of the brackets 21 are adjusted with respect to the brackets 21 so that the spacers 22 touch a temporarily fixing seat portion 113a of a rotor 113. Temporarily fixing bolts 23 are made to pass through the bolt holes 21b, 22b of the brackets 21 and the spacers 22 and screwed into the rotor 113, thereby temporarily fixing the rotor 113 to the frame 111. The temporarily fixing bolts 23 are then removed after a rotating shaft 114 is attached to the rotor 113, and the screwed positions of the spacers 22 with respect to the brackets 21 are adjusted so that the spacers 22 are separated from the temporarily fixing seat portion 113a of the rotor 113, thereby permanently fixing the rotor 113 to the rotating shaft 114.
