The invention relates to the technical field of nuclear radiation detection, and particularly relates to a flight type radioactivity detection system. The system comprises a multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle, a power supply, a lifting device, a nuclear radiation detector, a wireless transmission module, a wireless remote controller and a control unit, wherein the power supply, the lifting deviceand the control unit are mounted on the multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle; the nuclear radiation detector is mounted on the lifting device; and the wireless remote controller communicates with thecontrol unit through the wireless module. The multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle is controlled by the wireless remote controller to carry the nuclear radiation detector to enter a cabin for nuclear radiation detection of materials, and the problem that an existing fixed nuclear radiation detector cannot enter the cabin to achieve nuclear radiation detection is solved.
