The invention relates to a method for a vehicle on an expressway to autonomously judge whether the running speed of the vehicle is overspeed or not and provide overspeed warning for a driver. The method relates to vehicle-mounted equipment with satellite positioning, 5G communication and a vehicle-mounted camera interface, the vehicle-mounted equipment carries out processing according to a video image of a vehicle-mounted camera in an environment where positioning information cannot be received, and whether the vehicle is overspeed or not and the overspeed degree through a mileage sign or a milestone is calculated according to a processing result. Meanwhile, a driver is warned in time when the vehicle has an overspeed trend.
