The invention discloses a charging pile plug self-adaption and charging safety protection circuit and an application method thereof. The charging pile plug self-adaption and charging safety protectioncircuit comprises an identification circuit arranged on a charging pile and an interface circuit arranged on a charging adapter plug. The interface circuit comprises a temperature sensor NTC and a capacitor or a voltage stabilizing diode connected with the temperature sensor NTC in parallel. The voltage output by a first output module is output to the temperature sensor NTC, and a main control module collects initial voltage through an ADC, automatically identifies the type of the charging adapter plug, and outputs correct charging current information which can be provided to a vehicle end soas to prevent the charging plug from being overloaded and ensure charging safety. A second output module outputs a second voltage to the voltage stabilizing diode, and the temperature rise range of the charging adapter plug is monitored by detecting the change of the voltage value, so that the working temperature during charging is ensured to be within a safe range, and the charging safety is ensured.
