The polygonal boom support comprises an upper cover part (10) located at the top of the polygonal boom support, a bottom plate part (20) located at the bottom of the polygonal boom support, and side parts (30) located between the upper cover part (10) and the bottom plate part (20), wherein the thicknesses of the side parts (30) are smaller than the thicknesses of the upper cover part (10) and the bottom plate part (20). By arranging the side parts with the relatively small thicknesses, the height of the polygonal boom support can be relatively increased; moreover, the inertia moment of the cross section of the polygonal boom support isincreased; and thus, the rigidity of the polygonal boom support is obviously improved.
