The invention discloses an extended-range hybrid electric vehicle chassis structure and a mounting method thereof. The extended-range hybrid electric vehicle chassis structure comprises a vehicle bodylongitudinal beam, an engine, an extended-range driving module, a charging port, a storage battery, a distribution box, a service brake air storage tank, a battery pack, a transmission shaft, a reardriving axle, an oil tank and a vehicle control unit. An engine and a range extending driving module are mechanically connected into a power driving unit, and the power driving unit is arranged on thefront portion of a vehicle; an integrated extended-range power driving system is adopted, the size is small, the weight is light, the relative positions of all parts are fixed, the space is compact,the position arrangement and axle load distribution of all the parts are uniform, and interference of all the systems is avoided; transmission chains are effectively reduced, the weight and the cost of the power assembly are reduced, and the transmission efficiency of the power assembly is improved; meanwhile, the generator, the driving motor, the motor controller, the battery pack and the charging port are compactly arranged, so the arrangement length of the wire harness is shortened, and the cost is reduced.
