The invention relates to the technical field of offshore wind generating sets, and discloses a method for mounting a tower and a main engine of a floating type double-wind-wheel wind generating set. The method comprises the following steps of sequentially hoisting a first inclined tower section, a second inclined tower section, a third inclined tower section and the main engine, and symmetricallyand synchronously mounting two sides of double cranes to ensure the stability of the double-wind-wheel wind generating set in the hoisting process and improve the hoisting efficiency. When the secondinclined tower section, the third inclined tower section and the main machine are hoisted, the inclined tower is tensioned by adopting a steel strand temporary inhaul cable, so that the stability of the inclined tower after the hook of the crane is unhooked is ensured, and meanwhile, the typhoon limit wind speed can be resisted, and the safety of a unit when the typhoon comes and when hoisting isnot completed is ensured.
