The invention provides a satellite-borne operating mechanism driving device and a control method thereof, and the device comprises: a memory alloy torsional spring which is configured to apply a forward unfolding torque to deployable equipment; and a reference torsion spring which is configured to apply a negative folding torque to the expandable equipment, so that the expandable equipment can besimply and controllably unfolded and folded.
