The safety tongs comprise a tongs body, a movable brake block, a fixed brake block and an adjusting assembly, wherein the movable brake block is arranged on the right side of the interior of the tongs body; the adjusting assembly is arranged on the right side of the front surface of the tongs body; the adjusting assembly is used in cooperation with the movable brake block; a cavity is formed in the left side of the interior of the tongs body; and the fixed brake block is in sliding connection with the inner wall of the cavity. According to the safety tongs, workers can conveniently debug the safety tongs, moreover, one-time debugging is qualified, so that the debugging operation becomes simple, repeated debugging is not needed, and the problems that the debugging work becomes extremely tedious due to the fact that the adjustment ofthe pressure value of some existing safety tongs for the elevator is realized by increasing or decreasing gaskets in contact with a disc spring, and when the gaskets are increased or decreased, due to the fact that the thickness of the gaskets is certain, accurate adjustment is difficult to make, and errors exist in the adjustment operation are solved.
