According to the present invention, in the ship propulsion apparatus, an engine (10) is fixed to a ship (1), and a rotating shaft (53) and a propeller (54) are rotationally coupled to the ship (1) in a vertical directionto be provided on a lower end of a rotating case (30) rotated upwards by a rotating driving means (40). Therefore, the high-powered engine (10) can be used, the durability of the rotating case (30) can be improved, and the maintenance can be easily implemented.
