The invention relates to the technical field of ships, and especially relates to a load test method for a stern ramp of a ro-ro passenger ship. The method comprises the following steps: S1, mounting the stern ramp on the ro-ro passenger ship; S2, mounting a fixing device on the stern ramp; S3, using a crane to drive the stern ramp to rotate and the fixing device to fix the stern ramp in order to make the stern ramp kept in a horizontal state; S4, using the crane to lift a supporting beam to the position below the end, away from the ro-ro passenger ship, of the stern ramp; S5, using the supporting beam to support the stern ramp under the action of the crane to make the fixing device relieve the fixation of the stern ramp; S6, setting a monitoring point on the stern ramp; S7, hoisting the weight to a preset position of the stern ramp according to experimental requirements; S8, collecting data of monitoring points; and S9, hoisting away the weight on the stern ramp to complete the load test of the stern ramp. A load test can be performed on the stern ramp without moving the ship.
