The invention provides a heat exchanger wherein pressure loss of a refrigerant can be reduced by ensuring a required cross-sectional area of a connecting passage. Overhanging parts 121c2 and 122c2, which are formed by extending prescribed portions of connecting parts 121c and 122c of an upper header member 121 and a lower header member 122 respectively upward and downward, are made to face one another, thereby forming a connecting passage 12c. Thus, the connecting passage 12c formed between the upper header member 121 and the lower header member 122 can be formed with a large area, so the required area for the connecting passage 12c can be ensured and pressure loss of a refrigerant can be reduced, even when the area of the connecting parts 121c and 122c in which the connecting passage 12ccan be formed is limited.

    本发明提供能够通过确保必要的连通路的截面积来减少冷媒的压力损失的热交换器。连通路(12c)通过使伸出部(121c2、122c2)互相相向来形成,前述伸出部(121c2、122c2)使上侧头部件(121)及下侧头部件(122)的连结部(121c、122c)的既定部分分别向上方及下方伸出。由此,能够将形成于上侧头部件(121)与下侧头部件(122)之间的连通路(12c)的面积较大地形成,所以即使在连结部(121c、122c)能够形成连通路(12c)的范围被限制的情况下,也能够确保必要的连通路(12c)的面积,能够减少冷媒的压力损失。
