The invention relates to a road accident perception and identification method and system, and belongs to the technical field of traffic accident detection and safety early warning, and the method comprises the steps: arranging vibration sensors and radars on a road at intervals; enabling the vibration sensor to sense vibration information, convert the vibration information into a vibration signaland send the vibration signal to the main control unit; enabling the main control unit to preliminarily judge whether an accident occurs or not according to the vibration signal and obtain a pre-judged accident position; if the accident is preliminarily judged, controlling a radar near the pre-judged accident position to be turned on; after the radar is started, searching a static target in a roadrange, and sending a search result to the main control unit; enabling the main controller to finally determine whether a road accident occurs or not according to the radar search result and obtain afinal accident position, if a static target is searched in the road range, determining that the road accident is sent, otherwise, judging that the road accident does not occur, and therefore the problems that in the prior art, road accident detection precision is low, reliability is poor, and accurate positioning cannot be achieved are solved.
