The invention relates to the field of highway monitoring, in particular to a license plate information and vehicle feature fused vehicle trajectory tracking method, which comprises the following steps: firstly, extracting license plate information and vehicle information at a highway high-definition checkpoint, and storing the license plate information and the vehicle information into a database for association; secondly, extracting features of the vehicle in all aspects on the whole road section, and then extracting the features of the vehicle in all aspects on the whole road section, including inherent features and motion features of the vehicle; extracting the license plate information and the vehicle information again through the next license plate recognition camera on the way, and optimizing the PSO algorithm and the previously obtained information; secondly, establishing time and space constraints of movement of the vehicle among multiple cameras; and finally, associating all the vehicles observed by the cameras by using a vehicle association algorithm, and finding out targets belonging to the same vehicle in the vehicles, thereby realizing vehicle trajectory tracking amongthe plurality of cameras by inputting license plate numbers.
