The invention discloses a railway wagon coupler yoke key joist falling fault identification method, and belongs to the technical field of railway wagon detection. The objective of the invention is tosolve the problems of poor stability and low precision of a manual detection method and the problem of high false alarm rate of an existing deep learning method. The method comprises: firstly, acquiring a gray level image of a truck coupler yoke key area, and normalizing the gray level image; adjusting the size of the image, sending the image to a trained SSD deep learning network, detecting whether the wagon coupler yoke key joist falls off or not, and detecting a screw hole and a through hole by using the trained SSD deep learning network; and when it is detected that the wagon coupler yokekey joist falls off or the screw hole/through hole is detected, judging that the wagon coupler yoke key joist has a falling-off fault. The method is mainly used for identifying the falling fault of the wagon coupler yoke key joist.
