The invention relates to an automobile drive axle housing and a casting process thereof. The automobile drive axle housing is prepared from the following components including, by weight, 3% to 5% of C, 2.5% to 3.5% of Si, less than or equal to 0.06% of P, less than or equal to 0.03% of S, 0.9% to 1.6% of Mn, 0.5% to 1.2% of Cu, 1% to 2% of Cr, 0.3% to 0.5% of Mo and the balance of Fe. The C content of the automobile drive axle housing is reasonable in design, the graphitization capacity is good, and the phenomena that graphite is thick and large and floats are avoided; a medium-frequency electric furnace is adopted for smelting, the chemical components of iron liquid are stable, the graphite nodule number is increased, a ferrite matrix structure is obtained, and the casting elongation andthe low-temperature impact value can be stable; during smelting, C is added firstly, the C enters the molten iron in a diffusion and dissolution mode, a large number of [C] microcrystals are formed inthe molten iron, grain refinement is facilitated, and the number of graphite nodules is increased; the casting room-temperature structure is graphite nodules and ferrite; and carbide can be eliminated, the ferrite content can be increased, and the casting elongation and impact toughness can be improved.

    本发明公开了汽车驱动桥桥壳及其制备工艺,所述汽车驱动桥桥壳含有以下重量百分比的成分:C3‑5%、Si2.5‑3.5%、P≤0.06、S≤0.03、Mn0.9‑1.6、Cu0.5‑1.2%、Cr1‑2%、Mo0.3‑0.5,余量为Fe。本发明的汽车驱动桥桥壳C含量设计合理,即有较好的石墨化能力,又不产生石墨粗大,漂浮现象;采用中频电炉进行熔炼,铁液化学成分稳定,提高石墨球数,获得铁素体基体组织,铸件伸长率、低温冲击值才能稳定;在熔炼时,首先加入C,靠扩散溶解的方式进入铁液,在铁液中形成大量的[C]微晶,有利于细化晶粒,增加石墨球数;铸件室温组织为石墨球+铁素体;可以消除碳化物,增加铁素体含量,提高铸件伸长率和冲击韧度。
