The invention discloses a mechanical arm capable of working vertically on a floor. The mechanical arm capable of working vertically on the floor is characterized by comprising multi-section mechanicalarm bodies which are sequentially nested with each other, a telescopic drive mechanism for driving the adjacent mechanical arm bodies to expand and contract, an electromagnet and a clamping mechanisminstalled at the end of the last mechanical arm body. The mechanical arm has simple structure and convenient use, and can effectively improve the aerial working efficiency. The invention also discloses an aerial work platform, which comprises the mechanical arm capable of working vertically on the floor.
