The invention discloses a railway steel rail crack monitoring method. The method includes: emitting a pulse signal to one end of a to-be-monitored steel rail through an acoustic emission technology, exciting an ultrasonic signal on the steel rail through the pulse signal, receiving the ultrasonic signal at the other end, and recording the initial propagation duration from emitting the pulse signalto receiving the ultrasonic signal, thus completing one-time detection; repeating the above detection process, and if the propagation duration detected later is longer than the initial propagation time, judging that the steel rail has cracks; transmitting the ultrasonic signal to a far end of the monitored section steel rail at a fixed sound velocity, if no crack exists between the two ends of the monitored section steel rail, propagating the ultrasonic waves along a straight line, if cracks appear between the two ends of the monitored steel rail, changing the original ultrasonic wave propagation path by the cracks, and prolonging the propagation time, and if the propagation duration detected later is longer than the initial propagation duration, judging that cracks are generated on the steel rail, thus realizing crack monitoring of the steel rail.

    本发明公开了一种铁路钢轨裂纹监测方法,对待监测钢轨的一端通过声发射技术发射脉冲信号,脉冲信号在钢轨上激励出超声波信号,在另一端接收超声波信号,并记录下从发射脉冲信号到接收到超声波信号的初始传播时长,如此完成一次检测;重复以上检测过程,若在后检测到的传播时长大于初始传播时长,则判定为钢轨产生了裂纹。超声波信号以固定的声速传播到被监测段钢轨的远端,如果被监测段钢轨的两端之间没有裂纹,那么超声波将沿着直线传播,如果被监测钢轨的两端之间出现了裂纹,那么该裂纹就会改变了原来超声波传播的路径,使得传播时间变长,若在后检测到的传播时长大于初始传播时长,则判定为钢轨产生了裂纹,如此实现对钢轨的裂纹监测。
