The structure comprises a plurality of rotating rod units, wherein the plurality of rotating rod units are periodically arranged and combined in a plane; each rotating rod unit comprises two flexible curved beam units, four bent rods and two straight rods, wherein the two flexible curved beam units are connected between the two straight rods and are symmetrically distributed, the four bent rods are connected to the two flexible curved beam units and are symmetrically distributed, the rotating rod units which are adjacent left and right are directly connected through symmetrical bent rod end parts, and the rotating rod units which are adjacent up and down are directly connected through symmetrical straight rod end parts. The negative Poisson's ratio structure based on the rotating rod unit is simple and effective and good in manufacturability, and has the advantages of being small in stress concentration force and facilitating energy storage and conversion.
