The invention belongs to the technical field of traffic environments. The invention discloses an expressway lane guiding method and device considering motor vehicle carbon emission. The device comprises a video detection device, a vehicle-mounted positioning device, a networking joint control device and a data center. The video detection device is used for detecting and identifying license plate numbers of vehicles at the starting position on the expressway and sending the license plate numbers to the data center. The vehicle-mounted positioning device is used for obtaining GPS satellite positioning information of a vehicle and sending the GPS satellite positioning information to the data center. The networking joint control device is used for sending a lane guiding instruction to a targetvehicle, and the data center is used for data storage and calculation of carbon emission of the motor vehicle and generating the lane guiding instruction. From the perspective of energy conservationand emission reduction, the purpose of reducing carbon emission of a motor vehicle is achieved, on the basis of basic data such as vehicle parameters and climatic environment parameters, a model simulation analysis method is used, the carbon emission of the target vehicle during driving on different lanes is predicted through digital calculation, and lane guiding information is effectively and accurately provided.
