The invention provides a fire extinguishing system based on fire extinguishing bombs projected by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The system comprises the unmanned aerial vehicle; a storage battery, a controller and a wireless signal transceiver are arranged in a fuselage; the bottom of the fuselage is fixedly connected with a suspension bin; an ammunition cavity is formed in the suspension bin; a rotor wing support is fixedly connected to the outer wall of one side of the fuselage. A protective cover is arranged at one end of the rotor wing support; a driving motor is fixedly connected to the bottom in the protective cover; one end of the driving motor is rotationally connected with a rotor wing through a rotating shaft; the system further comprises square fire extinguishing bombs. A plurality of fire extinguishing bombs are stacked up and down in the ammunition cavity in the vertical direction; the bottom of one side of the ammunition cavity is provided with an ammunition outlet channeland an opening and closing door matched with the ammunition outlet channel. An opening and closing component is arranged at the edge of the ammunition outlet channel and used for controlling the opening and closing door to close and open the ammunition outlet channel, an ammunition pushing channel and an ammunition pushing device are arranged at the bottom of the other side of the ammunition cavity, and the ammunition pushing device is used for pushing the fire extinguishing bombs in the ammunition cavity out of the ammunition cavity through the ammunition pushing channel to be thrown.
