The invention relates to a method for monitoring an object, equipment and a computer program product. The method includes the steps of receiving first information associated with an attribute of the monitored object from a radar of a vehicle; receiving second information associated with the attribute of the monitored object from a camera of the vehicle; and determining target information of the attribute of the monitored object based on the first information and the second information. By using the method, the distance measurement precision of an automobile for surrounding objects is improved.
