The invention, which belongs to the technical field of propeller ships, particularly relates to an anti-reversing air-suction shallow-draught propeller ship flow channel water blocking plate and an installation method thereof. The water blocking plate comprises a water blocking plate body that is arranged at the stern end of a water inlet flow channel and rotationally connected with a stern transom plate of a ship body through a turnover hinge; the water blocking plate body sequentially comprises a sealing nylon plate, a reinforcing aluminum plate and a pressing block steel plate towards the stern transom plate, and the sealing nylon plate, the reinforcing aluminum plate and the pressing block steel plate are fixedly connected through fixing bolts. The defects that in the prior art, in thereversing process of a shallow-draft ship, reversing air suction is prone to occurring, good reversing thrust cannot be provided, and potential safety hazards of ship running are large are overcome,so that a problem that the thrust of a propeller is reduced because the shallow-draft propeller ship sucks air in the reversing process of the ship due to insufficient draft is successfully solved; asituation that the operation cost is increased because the ship also pressurizes and loads in order to achieve designed draught no-load homeward voyage is avoided; necessary guarantee is provided foroperations such as off-shore operation, landing operation, deceleration operation, emergency stop operation and reversing operation in the whole voyage.
