The invention belongs to the technical field of mobile robot chassis, and particularly relates to a wheel suspension system capable of absorbing axial displacement. The system comprises a limiting frame, a mounting frame, a supporting frame and a hub mounting disc, wherein the limiting frame is connected with a chassis frame, the mounting frame is connected with the limiting frame in a sliding mode in the horizontal direction, an elastic reset mechanism is arranged between one side of the mounting frame and the limiting frame, the other side of the mounting frame is hinged to the hub mountingdisc through the supporting frame, and the supporting frame is hinged to the chassis frame through a shock absorber. Axial displacement generated by wheels can be absorbed during vibration reduction of a robot, so the situation that the walking stability is affected due to wheels rub the grounding in the axial direction is avoided.
