The invention belongs to the technical field of alloy materials, and particularly relates to low-density corrosion-resistant steel and a preparation method and application thereof. The low-density corrosion-resistant steel comprises the following element components of, by mass, 0.6-1.7% of C, 8-12% of Al, 0.2-0.5% of Si, 28-35% of Mn, 0.5-2.5% of Cr, 0.1-0.9% of V, 0.1-1.3% of Mo, and the balanceFe and inevitable impurities. Compared with a contrast material 40Cr steel, the low-density corrosion-resistant steel has the advantages that the density is low, and the corrosion resistance is better; and the result of the embodiment shows that the density of the low-density corrosion-resistant steel obtained according to the preparation method is reduced by 12.106-17.65% compared with the density of the 40Cr steel, and the corrosion resistance is improved by 22.18-50.16%.
