The invention belongs to the field of special equipment manufacturing, and particularly relates to a method for transforming a double beam bridge crane into a saddle-shaped main beam structure. The method includes the steps that step 1, connecting bolts of the double beam bridge crane are removed, two main beams of a bridge are removed, and two end beams are kept unchanged; step 2, the two main beams are removed, the middle horizontal sections of the main beams are cut for use, and the two ends are removed; step 3, the two ends of the main beams are manufactured, and upper cover plates and lower cover plates at both ends of the main beams are manufactured, wherein the positions, connected with the end beams, of the upper cover plates and the lower cover plates are straight, and then the upper cover plates and lower cover plates are gradually in an arc shape with a downward concave; step 4, the upper cover plates and the lower cover plates are spliced with the middle horizontal sectionsof the main beams obtained in step 2; and step 5, after the transformation, the main beams are spliced with the reserved end beams. According to the method, the general assembly of the bridge crane is normal, the operation and production are normal, and collision accidents cannot occur. The proper height of the plant structure is not required to be restored, the construction amount is saved, andthe cost is saved.
