The invention discloses a hydraulic steering system compatible with a manual driving mode and an unmanned driving mode. The system comprises a hydraulic steering oil cylinder connected with two frontwheels of an automobile, an angle sensor connected with one front wheel, a hydraulic station and an unmanned controller. According to the hydraulic steering system, manual hydraulic steering or unmanned hydraulic steering operation can be adopted according to the requirements of a driver and a road, under the condition that one of manual hydraulic steering and unmanned hydraulic steering is out ofcontrol, the other steering mode can be adopted to enable a vehicle to travel to a destination, and the system has high compatibility.
