The invention relates to a polyvinyl chloride foaming life buoy. The life buoy is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 10-25% of a nitrile butadiene rubber, 0.1-0.3% of a vulcanizing agent, 0.2-0.3% of a metallic soap lubricant, 6-12% of a plasticizer, 10-20% of a foaming agent, 0.5-1% of a stearate stabilizer and the balance of a polyvinyl chloride resin. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) weighing the materials, adding the weighed materials into a mixer, stirring for 3-4 minutes at a temperature of 50-60 DEG C, transferring into a mixing mill, and mixing for 4-6 minutes at the temperature of 110-120 DEG C; (2) putting the mixed material into a normal-temperature double-roller open mill, and rolling into sheets; and (3) cutting a certainamount of the material sheets as required, putting the cut material sheets into a mold, carrying out hot pressing in a press vulcanizer at 170-180 DEG C under a pressure of 8-10 MPa for 8-10 min, opening the mold, cutting edges, and carrying out frosting treatment.
