The method comprises the following steps: the temperature in an automobile and the air speed ofan air outlet are detected; when (T1standard - T1) is more than deltaT1 and |V1 - V1standard| is more than deltaV1, an air blower signal is detected, and if |I1 - I1standard| is more than deltaI1, itis judged that the air blower breaks down; when the (T1standard - T1) is larger than the deltaT1 and the |V1 - V1standard| is smaller than or equal to the deltaV1, an electric signal of the mixed airdoor is detected, and if the |I2 - I2standard| is larger than deltaI2, it is judged that the mixed air door breaks down; if the |I2 - I2standard| is smaller than or equal to the deltaI2, the high pressure of the system is detected, and if the high pressure of the system is too high, it is judged that a refrigerant is excessive; and if the high pressure of the system is normal or low, it is sequentially judged that whether an expansion valve, a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator have faults or not and the fault types.
