The invention discloses a ship brightening method and structure. The whole section of lamp groove is divided into a plurality of sections of unit grooves to be spliced, the unit grooves can be more attached to the outline of a ship body, stress caused by the fact that the bending radian of the whole section of lamp groove is too large can be reduced, the lamp strip is installed on the lamp groove, the lamp strip can be more attached to the outline of the ship body, and the lamp strip can be prevented from falling off after long-time use.
