The invention discloses a maximum vehicle speed limiting method of an electric vehicle based on acceleration lead control. The method comprises the following steps of: 1, calculating vehicle resistance torque based on actual torque of a motor, 2, calculating required acceleration torque based on the vehicle resistance torque and accelerator pedal opening, specifically, subtracting the vehicle resistance torque from external characteristic torque of the motor to obtain drivable acceleration torque, and then multiplying the drivable acceleration torque by the actual accelerator pedal opening toobtain the required acceleration torque; and 3, calculating wheel-side required torque based on the limited vehicle speed, the required acceleration torque and the vehicle resistance torque. When themaximum speed of the electric automobile is limited in different automobile speed sections, no obvious impact or automobile speed overshoot exists.
