The invention provides a method, system and intelligent terminal for remotely monitoring an automobile fault. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring running information of an automobile; judging the automobile fault according to the running information; if the automobile is judged to be in fault, then transmitting a fault message to a server through a remote communication network, wherein the fault message comprises the running information; receiving a response message of the fault message returned by the server, wherein the response message comprises a fault identifier and control information, and executing the control information. The technical scheme provided by the invention has the advantages of being low in monitoring cost and high in efficiency.
