The invention provides an internet of things (IOT) parking system based on WIFI. The IOT parking system comprises a parking server, a client and an information acquisition end, wherein the parking server is connected with the information acquisition end through a WIFI network; the information acquisition end comprises cameras and sensors, and a sensor is arranged at each parking plot to acquire whether a vehicle is parked at the parking plot; a camera for shooting the license plate number of a vehicle is arranged above each parking plot, and the parking server stores the vehicle information of each parking plot through the camera and the sensor; and the client is connected with the server through the WIFI network or a mobile network to query garage parking plot information and vehicle parking positions. The IOT parking system solves the problem of traffic jam caused by the reason that a user cannot learn the garage parking plot information in advance before entering the garage, avoids the inconvenience brought when a user cannot remember the parking plot during picking or other parks, and improves the intelligent management degree of garage parking lots.
