The water provides a water signal generating device. With the water signal generating device adopted, a power source is not required, and a signal generating unit can be powered through utilizing water mechanical energy. The water signal generating device includes a contact type generator made of a flexible material and a signal generating unit; and a wavy electrode layer and a friction layer of the contact type generator can contact with and leave away from each other under the impact of the mechanical energy of water, and contact charges can be generated at the surfaces of the wavy electrode layer and the friction layer, so that electric signals can be generated between an electrode layer arranged on the friction layer and the wavy electrode layer, wherein the electric signals are adopted as a power source of the signal generating unit so as to drive a signal generating component in the signal generating unit to emit light signals or wireless signals. According to the underwater signal generating device, a static electricity friction generator can be integrated on the contact type generator, so that the static electricity friction energy of a liquid-solid interface and the mechanical energy of water wave slapping can be utilized at the same time. The signal generating device can be integrated on a lifesaving device such as a life jacket, so that a body floating on water can automatically send out distress signals.
