The invention relates to automobile safety technology and in particular relates to a detection method for an aggressive driving behavior and an electronic control unit capable of detecting the aggressive driving behavior. According to an embodiment of the invention, the detection method for the aggressive driving behavior comprises the following steps of acquiring state features related to the aggressive driving behavior, determining contribution degree of accelerating performance, brake performance, steering performance and lane-changing performance to the aggressive driving behavior respectively, and determining whether the aggressive behavior exists according to the contribution degree. The state features are formed by the accelerating performance, brake performance, steering performance and lane-changing performance during the driving of the vehicle.
